Selina Calvo

Selina Calvo was born and raised in Sacramento, California. Since she was a young girl she was raised around art. Under the guide of her father David Calvo, who is also an artist, she has explored different mediums such as clay, acrylic, photography and her first love watercolor. Along with her husband Enrique Lugo, and good friend Nuvia Crisol Ruland, Selina has co-founded San Diego’s only traveling Urban Arts Market, Mercado Golondrina. She has earned a degree in Sociology at the University of California, San Diego and is also a mother of two beautiful children. Selina Calvo has exhibited her work at such places like the Voz Alta Project, The Spot, Sol Collective, San Diego City College, Centro Cultural de la Raza and The Front.
